Q1: I can not get the IP by the software "IPEDIT": A1: Please refer the following possible parts for this IP POWER not been searched by IPEDIT
1. Boot up successfully: Please reboot the 9258 and check if there are 1 short beep after 3 – 60 seconds.
This beep means the device boot up successfully . If not , the device may have issue.

2. Network card: Please check if there are morn that two network card – include wire / wireless / dynamic - in the PC which used IPEIT software.
IPEDIT only support single network PC , please disable the other network connection / functions.
User can execute IPEDIT and Press "alt" + Z to check the network adaptor in the PC.Click here

3. Anti Virus software / Firewall: Please turn off the antivirus software firewall temporary.

4. Power: If there is no power go to 9258, please check the fuse part .
There will be no power for 9258 if the fuse buttons is pup up - not easy/flexible to press as it was – by over loading for long time, please press the fuse back and the power will go to 9258 to boot up .

5. Connection: Please make sure that the 9258 is under same router with the PC used IPEDIT . It is fine to connect across multiple routers but it need to setup the MASK part
which need some knowhow.

6. If the conection is that PC connect to IP Power directly , please check if there is a IP address for this PC .
Please exectute IPEDIT and press "ALT + Z " to get the info. of network card .
Make sure that the IP address of your PC is not 0.0.0.0. If the IP pf PC is 0.0.0.0,
please assigned a IP address to your PC and then rescan the ipedit to get the IP address of IP Power .

Note :
1. * the time for boot up differ by models
- 9255 / 9258 Series : 5 seconds
- 98XX Series : 60seconds
Q2 : What is the default IP address of the 9255 / 9255Pro / 9258 ?: A2: The IP will be different under different connection :
1. With DHCP router to assigned the IP : Get the IP form the DHCP router ( Default setting)

2. Without DHCP router to assigned the IP / Connect to PC directly : the last IP assigned by DHCP router .

3. 9255 / 9255Pro / 9258 will go to a fix IP 192.168.1.100 under one procedure :

Power off & without Ethernet cable connection, keep press the two button then do the power ON ( = hardware reset ) ,
after boot up successfully ( after 3 short beeps ) then to connect ethernet cable .

Q4 : dhcp cannot allocate IP, how to return to fixed IP? for IP Power 9812/9828/9825/9858MT/9850/9820MT/9860MT/9823GP/9823LT: A4:
1. Unplug the network cable

2. Power off and on again

3. Hear the beep sound from ip power

4. Plug in the Internet route

5. Enter 192.168.1.168 in the browser
If ip power is two network sockets ip 192.168.1.169
